Sub 5 was a myth. Sub 6 is a movement.

It started the way all the best traditions do—by accident.

 

At a small-town country club, long after the sun had set and the last group had come off 18, not knowing at the time what would come of it.  Once the dining room lights dimmed and the men’s card room had turned loose, only two bartenders remained, wiping down the bar while a handful of diehards lingered.

 

That’s when the 40-yard dashes began.

 

Tables were slid aside, beer cans scattered, and the wood floors became a makeshift track. Eight guys, a stopwatch app, and a flood of bets on who could break sub five seconds before last call. Some ran in golf spikes. Some barefoot, others in boots. Always "fast". Fueled by pride, wagers, and the kind of camaraderie(competition) you only find at a country club after dark.

 

What started as a joke became a tradition.

What became a tradition became a brand.

 

SUB 6 was created to capture that fearless, competitive, and slightly rebellious spirit—the one that lives in every golfer who stays out a little later, bets a little bolder, and never hangs it up after 18.
